A contact, ingestion, fumigant, and systemic insecticide also known commercially as DDVP. This insecticide belongs to the organophosphate chemical group and causes insect death by inhibiting cholinesterase enzyme activity in the central nervous system. Dichlorvos exhibits phytotoxicity on certain chrysanthemum varieties and is prohibited for use in household insecticides.
Dichlorvos is registered with the Iranian Pesticide Supervisory Board for the control of the following pests:

Environmental Toxicity: It is very dangerous for bees, birds, fish and aquatic creatures.
Precautions: Strictly avoid eating, drinking, or smoking during application.
Symptoms of Poisoning: Headache, dizziness, nausea, diarrhea, and visual disturbances.
First Aid: In case of poisoning, immediately consult a physician with the pesticide label.
Antidote: Atropine and oximes such as pralidoxime and obidoxime under the trade name toxogonin.
