Product Features

Zinc, an essential micronutrient, plays a vital role in nutrient transport in plants. Deficiency leads to impaired nutrient translocation, resulting in deficiency symptoms, reduced photosynthesis, and consequently lower yield and quality. Zinc is a component of the amino acid tryptophan, a precursor in auxin synthesis, thus directly affecting plant stem elongation. Adequate zinc is crucial for pollen formation and development; deficiency causes reduced flower fertility, flower drop, and the abscission of newly formed fruits. Zinc solubility in soil is highly pH-dependent. The presence of calcium carbonate in alkaline soils forms zinc carbonate, making it unavailable to plants. High phosphorus fertilizer application also negatively impacts zinc uptake because both elements compete for the same uptake mechanisms. PRINOVA Zinc Sulfate Monohydrate, containing 35% zinc, acidifies the soil around roots, improving the uptake of zinc and other nutrients. This fertilizer is completely water-soluble and can be applied via fertigation, basal application, or foliar application to all crops. (To prevent leaf burn from foliar application, carefully follow the recommended dosage and test the solution on a small area before application to the entire field). PRINOVA Zinc Sulfate Monohydrate is particularly beneficial in preventing barrenness in the ears of cereal crops like corn and in fruit crops like grapes.
