Iron is the most commonly used micronutrient in plants, yet it is easily immobilized in the soil, becoming unavailable to plants. Several factors contribute to iron immobilization in agricultural lands, including carbonate accumulation in calcareous and alkaline soils, bicarbonate in irrigation water or soil, overwatering or prolonged drought, excessive use of phosphorus-containing compounds, poor soil aeration, and root damage from nematodes. Iron plays a crucial role in plant growth, development, and reproduction; its deficiency significantly reduces chlorophyll production, subsequently impacting photosynthesis, plant growth, and ultimately, crop yield.
NEMESIS Iron is a liquid fertilizer containing 7% water-soluble iron, used to prevent and correct iron deficiencies in fruit trees, field crops, and greenhouse plants. NEMESIS Iron boasts high foliar absorption, making it ideal for rapid correction of iron deficiencies via foliar application. Foliar application offers faster efficacy and bypasses the issue of iron immobilization in the soil. In neutral soils with low bicarbonate levels, this fertilizer can also be applied directly to the soil.
