Potassium is a crucial macronutrient for plant growth and development. By activating enzymes involved in growth, regulating stomatal function, photosynthesis, and water and nutrient transport, potassium enhances plant resilience to drought, salinity, and cold stress. It moderates the vegetative growth effects of nitrogen and stimulates reproductive growth. However, for optimal product quality (e.g., increased sugar content and fruit size), a balanced application of potassium and nitrogen is crucial; an imbalance yields suboptimal results. Potassium is mobile within the plant, translocating from older to younger leaves. Therefore, deficiency initially manifests as yellowing and scorching of the tips and margins of lower leaves.
PRINOVA Potassium Sulfate is a highly soluble potassium and sulfur fertilizer suitable for various crops, especially those with high requirements for these elements. It improves nutrient uptake by reducing soil acidity and minimizes irrigation system clogging. While beneficial throughout all growth stages, its most significant impact occurs after fruit set, enhancing fruit size, coloration, and sugar production.
PRINOVA Potassium Sulfate fulfills the needs of crops like oilseeds, strengthens amino acid synthesis, leading to earlier maturation in horticultural crops and vegetables. Application during the fruit filling stage in nuts and grain development improves yield. Furthermore, by reducing acidity and regulating osmosis, it mitigates the negative effects of drought, salinity, and sodium in alkaline soils.
