In Iranian soils, despite abundant total phosphorus (due to high phosphate fertilizer use), plant-available phosphorus is negligible. Phosphorus availability is also pH-dependent, becoming insoluble and unavailable in alkaline and calcareous soils. Therefore, reducing alkalinity and acidifying the rhizosphere is crucial for improved phosphorus uptake.

PRINOVA Urea Phosphate is an acidic fertilizer containing 44% plant-available phosphorus and 18% nitrogen (in urea form), highly beneficial for plant establishment. Its high solubility, acidic nature, and descaling properties make it ideal for alkaline and calcareous soils, preventing clogging in irrigation systems. The low pH also prevents rapid phosphorus fixation in the soil and enhances the uptake of nitrogen and other nutrients. PRINOVA Urea Phosphate is particularly effective for early root development and promoting vigorous growth at the beginning of the season (before bud break).

Note: It is not suitable for hydroponic systems and is incompatible with calcium and magnesium fertilizers. Mixing with humic substances results in gel formation, which may complicate application but does not negatively impact the fertilizer’s quality.
